When I try a new skincare line, I like to start with the basic 3-step process. Basic things I look for:

1. Cleanser - lather, smell, how skin feels after
2. Toner - smell, application style, how it preps skin for moisturizer 
3. Moisturizer - consistency and coverage

With haircare, I will say that I like a simple routine and don’t want a lot of fuss. I begin with your basic shampoo, conditioner and a styling product. I am certainly not the busiest person in the world but I don’t want my morning routine to take forever or consist of so many product that I go broke. Key things I look for are:

1. Shampoo - lather, smell, feel on scalp and residue 
2. Conditioner - coverage, smell, feel on scalp and residue
3. Styling Product - ease of application, smell, product promise and hold
